Charlotte Consorti grew up in the Parisian suburbs, but spent her summer holidays in Brittany and Italy. During these unforgettable summers her passion for the sea was born.
After studying and with her degrees in hand she moved to sun, sea and wind in Montpellier – and found her paradise. She discovered kiting and it was ‘love at first sight’. She entered her first competition just two years later with the French Freestyle Championships.
For Charlotte, her great passion is speed; she entered her first competition in 2003. She gained her first record in 2004, first title of world champion in 2007 and then decided to go for the speed world record in water in all categories.
She broke that record on 28th October 2010, by passing the mystical bar of 50 knots, with an average speed of 50,43 knots (93 km/h) over 500 meters. But of course records are made to be broken so the race continues!
