We want to share with you the news from our latest event! Last Saturday GKF was joined by a group of 11 very enthusiastic participants and a team of 26 volunteers from Enel Green Power Hellas for our latest kiting workshop. We were also delighted to welcome representatives from the Ministry of Health in Greece who came for a first hand look at the work GKF is doing.

GKF's Wind that Works program is gathering momentum!
 
We are just back from our second GKF event in Greece! The ‘Wind that Works’ program travelled to Patra, Greece to introduce kiteboarding to people with a physical disability. GKF aims to show that everyone can experience the excitement and inspiration that kiting has to offer.

It’s September already! Where did the summer go? We hope you have been enjoying it! We have been busy planning all sorts of events and projects, from kiting workshops to beach safety training programs. We want to bring positive events to communities and show that kiting is an all-inclusive and inspiring sport. There are no limits- anyone can take part!

Wind that Works : Grow, Kite, Fly!
 
 
GKF is proud to report the huge success of our first project in Greece, organized in partnership with 2S; a workshop to introduce kiteboarding to people with physical disabilities that was held in Vravrona, near Athens, on Thursday 28th of July. We also saw a huge beach cleanup at the same time.

Nelson Mandela said it best. Here at GKF we are very excited about our upcoming projects in Greece. With Nelson Mandela’s words as a guide, we have an ambitions plan – to develop projects around the world that unite local communities through kitesports.
